I'm going to build up a single speed using an on one inbred with slotted dropouts and it will have a Pro2 rear hub and a truvativ firex or SLX chainset. Thinking 32/16. Shimano QR

So I will be needing ?

Spacers/sprocket kit
Chain, 1/2 link?
Chaintug?
Chainring

bah, was hoping for some late-night octopron akshun 🙁

Spacers/sprocket kit (yeh - get a wide-based sprocket for a proII)
Chain, 1/2 link? ("any" chain (8sp work fine IMlimitedE), possibly (probably) plus a half-link unless your frame has lots of adjustrability)
Chaintug? (yes, x1 for driveside - esp if you're on QRs)
Chainring (proper SS or "DH" one with longer teeth and no ramps work best)

Wide bodied sprocket so you don't rip the freehub body apart. Surly steel chainring.

Unsure whether I'd go HT2 on an SS though as the BBs don't last like older systems in my opinion.

Don't get a halflink chain though, they stretch really badly.

maybe look out for an older square taper chainset?
