You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I’ve a very rare wife and child free weekend, so would like to try and get a “big” ride in.
Any suggestions? Within an hour or so of Leeds? Stainburn & Esholt are local so somewhere different. Current thoughts are possibly a couple of laps round Gisburn as not been before, but open to suggestions? 20+ miles, good technical descents ideally, I'll be on an "enduro" bike. If not trail centers something on Komoot would be great.
Dalby - mix of offpiste and the better trail centre bits. Or Calder Valley (the Halifax end if you can find a route that takes in the lesser known stuff rather than just following the sheep to Hebden).
Over Cutgate from Langsett and back taking in a loop above and around the res at the other end

Over Cutgate from Langsett and back
This would be my choice of a route starting from Langsett. In fact, I'm going to do it this Friday ...

Gisburn is worth a visit if you haven't been before and is riding well atm.
Went up to Lee Quarry at Bacup last week for the first time in years and that has come back to life so maybe worth a look? I believe you can combine it with a decent local loop taking in Crag Quarry too? Plenty of little techy bits to go at.
North to Hamsterley, or south to Wharny?
Gisburn may be a bit dull on an enduro bike, ditto Cut Gate tbh.
Nothing wrong with following the sheep to Hebden BTW, some of the good stuff may be overgrown at the mo, but the trails hardly get rammed with riders.
Kilburn should hit the spot, a lot of steep climbs/push ups but the trails are worth it
Lots of big days round here (Settle) but sounds like you're looking for more technical stuff than I can help with.
