For a group of 4 riders, preferably with some secure bike store.

The nearest place I can comment on is 'the hollies' in Threlkeld, just outside town.
Stayed there on a C2C trip - was welcomed with cake straight out of the oven - and the bikes were locked away at night.
The Farriers Arms is a short walk away, for cracking food and beer.
