Hi

Im looking into a solo trip to Finale in Feb/March time next year.  Ideally id like to find a company that sorts out uplifts/guiding and accommodation.

Any recommendations?

Thanks

Hmm. That's well out of season. You may struggle unless there's a bigger group booked that you can tag on to.

Basically no one is going to run uplift for you only. You can try the well known companies to see if they have space but realistically you'd be better looking at the likes of Malaga which gets much more traffic at that time of year

Ah ok, well i did wonder about when the season was over there.  Assume its a late April/September season for Finale?

I've ridden in Spain (including Malaga area) alot, its def a safe bet in Winter.  I have to balance bike holidays with beach holidays, so Finale is also an option for June.

June may be a struggle too. Tends to be April/may and September/october

we did August this year and it was pretty much all shut down but one of our gang knew a local company who agreed to uplift us for a week

Went in July,August and last week. Got guided uplifts each visit through finale Freeride, August was   quiet biking wise (hot and all the lifts open in bike parks)

You'll be fine in June. We went early June this year and it was fine, loads of options for uplift.

There are plenty of options, they can be a little challenging to find as everything is typically 'italian' in that respect. My suggestion would be to have a look on the Finale Outdoor resort and look at all the partners on there & contact them for uplifts.

You pay a set E50 a day per person for guided uplifting, regardless of the company.

The locals will ride year round, but in the summer is bloody hot, so they tend to be out early or late in the day. One of the bigger operations is likely to fit you in more than the one van, one uplift style setups, Finale Bikers is close to the town & runs ~10 vans, so they would probably be your best bet.

Accommodation, I would AirBnB it đŸ™‚

That’s well out of season.

Nah ..... I was there for two months (Jan and Feb) this year and there were plenty of shuttles and riders.

It might be a little colder and there is a chance of snow.

End of Feb this year saw snow down to 800m.

Give my mate Francesco at ProRide a call. He's got a pickup, too, so you don't need to worry about getting a full van to run an uplift and he can get to places you can't with a van & trailer.

Might be worth giving Louise a bell/email - just back a few weeks ago and there was a single rider blended into our group - at the worst she could point you in the right direction as shes been out there a while and her and Alessandro know everyone.

They might be playing in the snow at the times you state but good people

MTB Beds don't officially open for business in Finale until the end of March, but it's worth dropping them a line as I know they have previously hooked people up out of season either for accomodation or uplift/guiding with the local operation they use (the awesome Ride on Noli):  https://www.mtbbeds.com/resorts/finale-ligure-mountain-biking
