Hi

I’m planning a long weekend from 20th-24th of September and ideally looking for somewhere we can go hiking and mountain biking that’s within an hour or so of Geneva
We’ll be hiring bikes and I’d prefer lift assisted riding or we could hire e-bikes
From what I can see the port du soliel lifts shut the wknd before.
Any recommendations would be appreciated

Cheers

James

I think in September many lifts are closed and I think MTB trails may also be closed.

Thanks all

Seems lifts at all of the above will be closed

I think annecy could be an option with e-bike still open that wknd

Anyone got experience of the riding around annecy?

Cheers

Are you sure about Portes Du Soleil?

It won't be fully open. Not all the links will be but some resorts are weekend only up to your dates...

Most of the Swiss resorts are...

A tad over the 'hour from Geneva' but worth a look?

Brevent and Flegere might still be open in Chamonix, but nothing at Le Tour or Les Houches. But you'd be outside the bike ban and could definitely enjoy the hiking.

Verbier's an option if you are happy to drive a little further. Some cheap accommodation to be found in late September too.

I'd suggest hiring ebikes in Les Gets, plus perhaps taxi help. Is bike hire available though? If it is, the provider will be able to offer good advice I'm sure, as will the local guiding outfits.

How are you travelling there?
