I've lost my keys (long story) so I need a new bike lock. I don't need a mega secure one but something around £30-40 would be great.

I prefer the chain type ones so is this any good http://www.merlincycles.com/bike-shop/accessories/bike-accessories/locks/kryptonite-evolution-series-4-1055-integrated-chain.html

Out of stock
Request Stock Alert

What do you reckon the chances are of the purple ones still being £15 when they come back in to stock, not £25 like the black or silver ones ?

That Kryptonite chain's not going to be very durable- 10mm link = manual boltcroppers, faster than you can undo it with the key. And not that portable either. D-lock's still the best option as long as you can physically use one, IMO- chain if you need the length or flexibility but it's got to be a good chain to deter more than amateurs, and good chains are not something you want to carry around.

Oh and cable locks, never.
