You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I seldom wear glasses when riding, but my eyesight is deteriorating and I think it would be worthwhile getting something decent for our upcoming Idaho Hot Springs tour. There will likely be a lot of dust and glare.
The last pair of specs I wore regularly were some Factory Pilots so I've not got a clue where to start.
Maybe the daytime crew can help?
Do you wear contacts at all or just glasses?
Neither yet, I'm just after something for dust and sun protection.
I had a pair of Specialized glasses thet claimed to be made from the same scratch proof material Apache helicopter windscreens were made from, I hope their pilots had more success than I did.
I tend to use Optilabs for prescription riding specs. Not amazing, but sensible enough money and the service is pretty good.
I just buy Bolle safety specs, Spider I think, use Trackers at work, a bit too hot for riding.
From Screwfix or Ebay, usually less than a tenner so no big issue if they get damaged.
My other half wears contacts so I get her something with more coverage, Uvex, I-3 or I-VO.
£15 gets you a set of three, pick appropriate colour before departure on ride, very comfy, dust proof for contacts, UV protection, windproof A++++++ would buy again...
