GMBN
Jordan Boostmaster & Boostmaster Raw
VanCan
Hardtail Party
BCPov and van girl Yuka although they don’t seem to be making as many as they used to
Stephen foster MTB is my channel. I could do with some more views 😀 just about to put some French Alps videos up.
I love BCPOV and VanCan. But my favourites are Dale Stone and Dangerous Dave.

Pink Bike
Wyn TV

Yoann Barelli

Ta, some new ones to me in there.
Keep 'em coming please.
Syd and Macky
The Downville double header is great, how fast on a 120mm xc bike.
Vancan
Mctrailrider
Hardtailparty
I quite enjoy Downhill Desire as an antidote to all the gnarr / rad content out there. I can relate to Gordy's struggles and admire his persistence in overcoming his fears and just getting out there despite them.
At the XC / endurance end of things I've really enjoyed some of the Rapha / EF Education, Dylan Johnson and Life Time Grand Prix coverage.
For some big mountain riding Alexis Righetti, would be interested in finding someone else similar.
Kilian Bron for racing
Stopadoodledoo for riding UK trails
BKXC for POV videos of trails all over the world.
Syd & Macky for XC racing and training
Oh and these 2 for great HD vids of epic rides

Really only watch two now

Sometimes watch this one https://www.youtube.com/@MTBScotland
Nate Hills - Follow Cam Friday
Street pigeon. A lot of others already mentioned ... Pinkbike, GMBN, McTrail rider etc. Do please give Scotty Laughland a subscribe ... he's the son of a chum and an awfully nice lad. I only wish he was a bit taller so I could get his cast off bikes.
McTrailRider. He's probably the most relevant to me. I reckon I'm champing at his heels in terms of what/how he rides and I've ended up quite invested in what he's up to. Definitely killed a good few quiet hours at work riding trails by proxy and for that I chuck him £5/month on Patreon just to help him keep doing it.
Occasionally Street Pigeon, and I keep an eye on Muddy Mongoose - a local chap I've never met but he's been on a real journey on YouTube from pretty much MTB (and video producing) beginner level to now being a pretty competent rider. I found it a real insight into the mental side of it as an "older" rider and recognise my earlier self in a lot of his videos.
Do please give Scotty Laughland a subscribe … he’s the son of a chum and an awfully nice lad.
Do you know why he left GMBN?
Do you know why he left GMBN?
From what I recall, he didn't want to live down in Bath.
McTrail Rider
Trail-Finder
Street Pigeon
For a mix of aspirational and relatable/achievable adventures.
Do you know why he left GMBN?
I don't know but I'm glad he and Henry Quinney went on to better things. Not to say GMBN wasn't a useful step in getting them there.

Derek is very much missed😟 Scotty is a huge credit to him. I knew his dad but never really connected with Scotty and I've ran into him and his mum several times since Derek passed and I've always felt strange about saying I knew Derek. He was someone I genuinely loved meeting out and about on the bike and I think about him often
Some of the above, plus:
Sam Reynolds
Darryl Brown
Troy Brosnan
Tom Isted
Clint Gibbs for very balanced kit reviews.
Laura Jane & wee tam. It’s down to earth and fun to watch.
Anything with Henry Quinny is a total turn off, stopped listening to pinkbike podcasts because of his annoying style.
I follow a few more varied channels -
- Wolfpack Adventures - enduro racer from borders - https://youtube.com/@wolfpack_adventures
- Syd and Macky - MtB racers, seriously fit and fast - https://youtube.com/@sydandmacky
- Greg McCahon - cycling length of America's with Victoria
https://youtube.com/@GregMcCahon
- Always Another Adventure - West highland based rider and Scottish routes - https://youtube.com/@alwaysanotheradventure
Thought Dialed would've got a mention by now, here's what I've watched recently, Janaynay, Bernard Kerr,Ed Masters, WynTV, Santa Cruz Syndicate, Rob Warner, Troy Brosnan, Pinkbike, GMBN, Vital MTB, Lewis Buchanan, Adam Brayton, no doubt I've probably forgot a couple.
I have a channel but I don't post loads ukbikeskills
probably already mentioned - https://www.youtube.com/@ddangerousddave - Seems like a nice fella, does some mad riding.
– Wolfpack Adventures – entitled prick –
FTFY.
Alex thinks that it's perfectly acceptable to film unfinished trails and post them all over social media for the likes, while never contributing anything to building trails, and leaving trailbuilders with the headache of then having to rush to finish trails to make them safe for the inevitable followers who'll be hunting out the trails.

I had no idea - I haven't watched all... That is more than disappointing.
– Wolfpack Adventures – whining ****t –
FTFY a second time
The Athertons if you go right back to the beginning. Shows how hard they’ve all worked and what a tight family they are to get to where they are today. Also chronicles Dan’s horrible crash and recovery which is pretty amazing.
I notice no one has said pinned tv.........for good reason
I had no idea – I haven’t watched all… That is more than disappointing.
Last trailbuilder he done it to, specifically named the section of trail he videoed, so if you've ever ridden a fairly recent trail in Innerleithen, and wondered why there is a seemingly random section called '****', Alex is the reason.
The other trailbuilder he done it to, simply wanted to bury him in the trail.
And I preempted him by naming my last trail in such a away he won't want to publicise it 🤣
The Ride Companonion is worth keeping an eye on for interesting guests - more a podcast, but it's on youtube...
James Barton for Street/ Trials. No whizzy production or 3 cuts a second, just self-set cameras and lovely riding.
TBH I can't stand most of the American/Canadian ones.
Lets see....
James Robert MTB
GeZeusChrist-Mtb
Although the wolfpack guy does the standard YT product placement thing, he is handy on a bike though!
Pinned tv? I’m tempted to watch now lol
Anything with Henry Quinny is a total turn off, stopped listening to pinkbike podcasts because of his annoying style.
I think he's fine, but I see where you're coming from.
On the other hand some seriously annoying people have been mentioned, and some of them are weapons grade aresholes.

what's it called?
what’s it called?
I'll never put in writing who built any unofficial trail.
There is another trail I created a Strava segment for this year, that I happened to stumble across while exploring in a random area one night. It had obviously not been ridden for years, and the tools on it had also not moved for years going by the rust on them, so I created a new entrance bypassing some clearfell/windblow, then named in it such a way that if it is found by more people, a mate will probably get the blame for it 😀
I would like to know who built it, but all lines of enquiry have so far came up with no names.
TBH I can’t stand most of the American/Canadian ones.
Are you insanely jealous of the eye popping scenery and mind blowing trails that they all have easy access to?
That's why I don't watch them. I don't need Whistler and Moab pushed down my throat every day especially while I'm stuck at work.
As a noob, I've found Kyle & April to be very watchable and helpful
Sawrey mountain bikers for lakes routes. He includes strava routes so easy to download and do the route.
Trailfinder as above but rides a wider area. Followed a few of his routes generally excellent.

bkxc
I got turned off BKXC during the pandemic when back around May 2020 he started complaining that he couldn't complete his road trips because of covid and that "we can't keep having everything shut down, they need to open the country back up and get the economy going again!" all the while hundreds of thousands of people were dying. Just pure, uncut self importance and narcissism. Also I got tired of him always going on about how special he was because he "worked hard and took a chance" which makes out that if you're not successful in what you do you're obviously lazy.
He was quite right though about the so called 'pandemic'.
Anyway, I recommend Dave jenvey.
Jono Jones does some fairly interesting stuff, not seen him mentioned so far
Pinned TV was recommended to me as they are local. Not my cup of Tea, but to be fair to them they manage to blag a lot of free kit
Laura Jane and Wee Tam are good, mostly enduro stuff. McTrail rider for the munro rides .
MTB Telly - Australian fella who try lots of bike setups with am emphasis on his suspension tuning. Really good content. Nice riding videos and his comments are quite insightful.
Jake Brookes Biking - just a small channel but I like his ride footage and his delivery well done. Also competes a little and you get to see some of his race runs etc. Good for seeing some trails ridden by a mere mortal.
No one has mentioned Into the gnar! or Remy Metailler.
I find Into the gnar quite inspirational & Yoann Barelli is a funny guy.
The bike handling skills of Remy are incredible, the videos insane. The only negative for is the sponsorship mentions, luckily he does them early in the videos, I just flick by them.
I really enjoy Berm Peak (Seths Bike hacks)
The mix of biking and lifestyle stuff is interesting for me and he seems incredibly nice and grateful for his success. From filming how to videos to turning it into a full time job, moving house twice and building a public bike park.
I follow quite a few channels but only watch the most interesting ones. Seth has often interesting stuff, Dangerous Dave + his riding mates are good. BKXC might have been declining a bit but I think his ending quote is inspirational.
Seems that for YT many seem to rely on same sponsors - it was quite annoying when that new action camera was published this summer and almost everybody seemed to be making video about it. Same with Quebec mountain biking, quite a few MTB Youtubers seem to have been there. At least the shaver thingy ads are not as common this month.
GMBN
Runs for cover.... 🙂
Are you insanely jealous of the eye popping scenery and mind blowing trails that they all have easy access to?
That’s why I don’t watch them. I don’t need Whistler and Moab pushed down my throat every day especially while I’m stuck at work.
Ah they're picking the best trails in the whole continent. We probably live closer to the alps than those guys live to Moab, they're just willing to drive massive distances to ride. The trails I ride aren't eye popping but at least they're 20 minutes from my house. But I'm happy to watch HD videos of amazing places and dream of one day visiting
BOBO
Miss Joey Gough MTB.
Very modest and amazing.
