A couple of months ago I bought a pair of Gore Bike Wear Oxygen bib shorts as they where listed for long rides over 4 hours & they where fantastic until a seam split.
They were returned for a refund as they were discontinued.
So I bought the Oxygen+ & was very disappointed by the fit & construction so returned before using.
So I'm after some more long distance shorts. The pad in the Oxygen was firm'ish & I think this is what helped with long distance comfort.
So what else is there worth trying?
Any decent brand ones, many like gel chamois, it is also subjective
Assos Mille s5 are good for me and what I use for long rides as they are noticeably
More comfortable than my other shorts. As mentioned above, there is an element of subjectivity in this though.
I always wear my Assos shorts if I am riding more than three hours. Yes they are hideously expensive but they really are the comfiest out there imo.
