From eBay/ Amazon etc....
For steppings down Pikes etc.
I'm not a Parktool guy, cheap but not junk cheap, is good! Lol 😀
Thanks guys!
From Amazon, £3.55 delivered? Would they do the job?

Or these at about 60p more. I've got some Silverline roofs and they've been good.

It's worth paying a bit more and getting a good set. The less than £10 screw fix ones I've got added about 25 minutes to service time - after grounding down the ends to fit in the holes of the smaller circlips.
Parktool circlip pliers are junk. Facom, Knipex etc if you want good ones, but they are more expensive.
Cheap interchangable ones tend to be frustrating, wobbly and the tips bend/break easily.
If you want a cheap set screfix has a 4 piece set reduced from £14-£4

You need bigger ones for the air lower circlip, smaller for the charger damper circlip. I think those screwfix ones do the big air circlip but they will be too big for a charger damper circlip.
Could I grind one down (the screwfix ones) for the damper, if it's just the tip that's too big?
Thanks for info guys!
You can grind them down. As said the interchangeable heads wobble. removing the cir clips is the trickiest part - anything to make it easier will make servicing the fork a lot easier job
Halfords? Lifetime warranty and 10% off worth BC
Thanks guys.
The Halfords ones look similar to the cheaper ones. Admittedly they only have a linked warranty...
Going to buy the screwfix ones I think. Got a dremel clone so can grind them down a little if need be.😃
I bought these which are inexpensive and worked on both the charger damper circlip and the air shaft sea head circlip.
Those changeable sets are rubbish in my experience. They flex like mad. The screwfix versions look better. Cheers
I'll echo the above - whatever you do, don't buy those god-awful interchangable head pliers. Even a cheap set of fixed pliers will be miles better. Something like these for less than a tenner would almost certainly be fine for what you need.
I used the Screwfix ones above, they're fine and I didn't have to grind anything to make them fit?
The circlip part is a pain to do and pretty much the only part of it you could feasibly damage your forks.
^^ Cheers Jay, good to know.
Picking the Screwfix ones up tomorrow. 👍
Not bad for a full set for £4, cheers bigyan! 😃
Good choice. Still a bit of an awkward job (don't scratch your shaft) so if you only use them for your forks I'd be inclined to grind the pins so they are even and just the right length for the circlip depth
