I am getting hacked off with the Juicy 3s on my Pitch and fancy some different brakes. I ride in the Lakes mostly and want decent reliable power.
Pondering the new 2012 Shimano stuff that is due in June that is much the same but cheaper than the XTR Trail brakes.
Any recommendations from the STW knowledge base?
Formula R1's are very light and powerful. Loving them.
only disc brakes worth owning..............saints.
Hope X2 - 20% off at Merlin
Personally - always hope simply because spares are available
I'm a big fan of Formula Oro's - my K18s have been going strong for 3 years without a bleed; excellent modulation and feel, and no problems stopping with them. I previously had Avid Juicy 7s, and Hayes 9 of some sort, and they were really poor in comparison.
Having said that, I've read excellent things about the latest XTs.
anything shimano
Happy with my K18s here, got 'em to replace a set of Juicy 3s too.
