My left quad went pop in a 10k race this morning and I want to get out for a decent road ride tomorrow.
Will deep heat sort it or is there anything else you'd recommend?

It depends on how bad it is. There are various different scales of 'strain'.
At the very least I'd recommend putting a compression bandage on it although I'd probably be thinking about just binning the ride. There's no point doing more damage and putting yourself out of action for weeks because you're determined to ride on an injury.
