Please.

Two of us (after dropouts). Clean, simple, with a kitchen or nearby foodie pub.

First weekend of september. We're looking to do Nanbield pass and a couple of the other definitive lakes mtb epics, so I'd welcome comments on routes with a technical bias (both up and down) too.

Just up the road from Staveley where you can find beer at the brewery, bikes at Wheelbase, food at Wilfs cafe.
Riding is magic straight out of the door, Garburn Pass over to Ambleside and Gatesgarth/Nan Beild Passes for starters.

I made some enquiries of Maggs Howe - the elderly sounding lady sounded like she couldn't be arsed to bother with anyone that late in the 'season'.

I'd heard good things elsewhere so I was a little surprised!
