Looking to replace my sister's workstand which she managed to break. Not sure which one she had. It will be a christmas pressie, split between a bunch of us so budget not a big issue - could stretch to £150 if needs be.
It will be for basic home maintenane and as an aid to cleaning the bikes etc. So looking for something robust, stable, a decent clamp system (she broke the previous one's clamp) and also collpasible for storage and transport use.
Wiggle currently have a number of stands on special including this one:

Anyone had any experience with these?
I got the Park Tools one a couple of years ago. http://www.jejamescycles.co.uk/park-pcs9-home-item123876.html
Seems to do the job. Fairly heavy duty so no chance of it falling over.
Park stuff is superb (Apart from the adjustable spanner. Seriously guys, WTF?)
At the price above, click it hard...!
Got to recommend the Park Tools PCS9 too. Solid, excellent clamp, well built & good value for money. What's not to like?
Feedback all the way. I've got the ultralite, easy up and down totally stable and the sliding clamp seems much better than the others I've seen and tried. Not really ultralite in the normal sense of the word but in comparison with all the others I've seen it definitely is.
Park. I have an 11 year old home mechanic one. Made out of bloody great steel tubes, really heavy, doesn't fold small but also doesn't fall over. The clamp is simple and durable.
