Any recommendations for an area or ideally a company in Europe for a 4-6 day riding trip for a solo traveler (early 30's)? looking at end of June time.

More focused on the descents so looking at something 'enduro' and at least predominantly uplifted/ lift accessed. Preferably looking for a good mix of steep, tight, techy trails rather than wide open bike park stuff. Think the golfie at inners but but in sunshine with uplift...

Riviera in Molini, you'll be lucky to get booked now though tbf.

Have you been to the Alps before? Morzine/Les Gets would be a good place to start. Densely packed with lifts and trails and lots of extras to add on with day trips etc.

We always stay with Riders Refuge. It means you don't have to worry about your meals or waste your time in the supermarket or the kitchen and there's always loads of people to mingle or go riding with. Also tends to be a slightly more mature crowd than the usual park rat chalets. My Mrs. loves it which is why I'm just about to pay for this years trip.

Less than a week is going to be tricky, sierramtb or puremountains might have some availability

if you can stretch to a week then BasqueMTB Basque Coast Trip for epic riding by the sea or whiteroommtb for Alpine Singletrack would be my recommendations

Just back from a week on the BasqueMTB backcountry Pyrenees trip. Couldn’t recommended it highly enough. A unique trip with some of the best, if not the best technical singletrack trails I’ve ever ridden. At times on the limit of my confidence but so memorable, really cool guides, great food, super accommodation and a great mixed group to go with it all. You won’t be disappointed.

Second the riviera in Molini recommendation but hope you get put with a group of similarly skilled riders otherwise they dont handle it as well as they could IMO.

Aye, golfchick, must be difficult though, we were fortunate that the arsehole lassie and her tool of a husband were in the other group, I'd have been gutted if we'd been landed with them.

Condom thin xc tyres, they had double figure punctures every day, but they wouldn't buy new tyres. Oh, and they were slow as ****, as it wasn't steep enough for them. 🙄😂

Thanks for all the recommendations. Contacted most of the suggestions and whittled it down to either Bike-Alp in Briancon or Whiteroommtb in Bourg Saint Maurice.

Both have availability when I'm looking to go and price including flights is virtually identical. (whiteroom is £80 more but includes lunch and evening drinks).

Anybody been to either/ both and have any recommendations or tips which may help me decide?

Not steep enough?! While I would agree what we rode wasn’t bottom of thornylee steep it certainly wasn’t tame. Should of sent them off down aggrifolio and just sent stretchers up from the bottom!

I guess it is tough but there were only five other guests staying apart from my mate and I and a few times we were told we weren’t doing some trails and routes because four of the group weren’t capable. I go on bike holidays to push myself and my riding, not stand around waiting. We only did aggrifolio because I bagged them as to when we would be going.

I’ve done white room twice as well as BasqueMTB. White room are excellent too, very good guiding, some superb singletrack and the standard of food from Matt and Crona is excellent too. Oh and they’re in a new chalet this year which looks great.

I did WhiteRoom last year, highly recommended. Great guiding, great food and as much booze as you can manage. Great variety of trails too, as you'll visit multiple riding areas; Les Arc, La Plagne, St. Foy, Tignes/Val d'Isere and La Thuile, where you get to ride some genuine EWS stages.

Another vote for whiteroom. Rely relaxed, great guides, excellent food, brilliant riding and as much free booze as you can drink (I really tested it too)

Seems like Whiteroom comes very highly recommended.
I like the idea of riding lots of different areas in a single trip.

I suppose only one thing for it. Get booking...!
