Carbon things have started sneaking into the garage, so what torque wrench do people suggest for the lower settings? (for example <10nm like band-on front mechs, headsets on carbon steerers etc)
Thanks

I use a Sealey 2-24nM, bought ~10 years ago in a sale and long overdue a calibration!

Effetto here. Very happy and i chose it ass i wanted one I could rely on to be mostly correct. Im put off be cheap because cheap is cheap and it seemed too important a use to deem 'Good enough'.
It is 150 quid unfortunately.

I've got a Teng one, seems pretty good. Got a few of their tools and I like them.

My BBB one has been doing fine service for many years now, think I paid about 30 quid for it.

This one from Tweeks looks very similar to mine and I'd be happy using it if you're not looking to spend too much.

Thanks all, there's a few there for me to look into.
Didn't realise how very ££ they are, but it's better than cracking my wife's seat tube or splitting my steerer.

One of these for anything up to 5 Nm.

Beam torque wrench

Simple to use and tiny!

TBH - anything is better than nothing. Guessing with CF is probably not a great idea

I've got a maybe 10 year old Pro (Shimano) one, cost me £120 at the time which I thought was expensive. Tbh it was a bargain, it's consistent and is still like new. https://www.tweekscycles.com/uk/pro-torque-wrench-madprs100340/

I trust it and it hasn't gone out of whack like mates x tools one that looks the same.

£88 quid now at tweeks.

The Planet X one is a cracker, I’ve had mine for a couple of years and it’s faultless.

I have one from Rose that goes from 1-25nm.
Got it in store a while back.

Doesn't help you as they've stopped shipping to the UK.

I bought the Effetto Mariposa one too. Mucho poundo but works really really well and gives a very definite click when desired torque is reached.

I've got the big Park Tool one as well but it doesn't "click" at all really, just gives/moves on a bit with no noise. Quite irritating.

I expect most of the above are calibrated with something made by Norbar. I would skip the middle man and just buy a Norbar one.
