You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
It is mainly to be used for walking the dog, camping etc, but I would like to be able to use it as a back up/helmet light whilst out on the bike.
I'm not bothered about 10 million lumens, it just needs to be rugged, reliable, have a good usable beam & take a single 18650 cell as I already have lots of them & a decent charger.
I have had a look on ebay & I can't sort the wheat from the chaff among the myriad of cheap Chinese imports, so any recommendations would be appreciated.
Cheers.
I have had a cheap chinese torch for three or four years. It's an ultrafire 501b, I use it a lot and after three years the rubber over the on/off button has worn through and the anodising is worn off the edges. But the torch is still going strong. I won't hesitate to buy another.
I've a C and B seen light that should fit the bill. £13, takes a single 18650, adjustable beam, 800 lumens or thereabouts.
Olight S20 baton; 550 lumens. Brilliant torch, although prices seem to have gone up a bit now. Might be able to get it cheap from the States via ebay.
Thanks chaps, some food for thought.
I got a fantastic one off torchy on ebay, even came with us charger. £19.99
