After looking at the Oreba Loki H and the Orange crush rs I'm torn , I'm looking for a nice lightweight trail toy for smiley days out but as I'm 40+ I don't fancy something that will crease me after the first 10 miles, hence why I'm looking at 650b plus, the larger tyre should just give me a little more comfort.

Ive looked at the Scott Scale 710 plus and the Loki as I mentioned but ideally I'm looking for something with around 140-150 mm out front , I do like the Kingdom Ventetta but at £1250 for frame alone I fear its just out of my 2k budget.

If anyone has any help that would be great cheers

Stanton Sherpa?
Sonder Transmitter?

They where two I considered when I briefly considered 'plus size' but in the end I went for a Cotic BFe with standard 650b tyres

DMR it can take a longer fork and I've chased it on a full suss and it's remarkably capable. Or maybe I'm incapable on my full suss...

Better than a Ragley Bluepig or Cotic Soul by all accounts.

No idea if that is the sort of HT you're after though.

Found this last night and the money seems right, only a 67o head angle but cs length is good at 425, dropper and new yari forks 130mm and a nice mountain mint esk colour.

Norco torrent 7.2

I just got really excited by the prospect of a new DMR, but a £500 frame?

Have DMR owners gotten all grown up and middle aged with more money than sense?

I think after the reviews its got im close to the Torrent , the spec looks good right for the money but and here is the thing , I can only find one seller or Norco , Evans cycles ,does anyone else know a Norco dealer as im loathed to hand money to Evans !

We, Evans, import Norco so only available through us, but thanks for the vote of confidence :-p
Have a look at Jamis dragonslayer as well, we import them too 🙂

I had the same dilemma and finally went with Sonder Transmitter fantastic spec and even with the optional Pike it comes in way under your £2k budget
