I'm after a loose fit MTB jersey.
Casual, not garish - dark preferably, half zip on front, hard wearing...moon on a stick 😉
Max £40...struggling to find anything - what will you be wearing when it's warmer?

Have a look at non mtb specific looser fitting walking / mountaineering base layers. Bigger choice, usually cheaper, less clown designs and I find they wick better (I run hot and sweat like a good un on the bike). When it's warm I normally just ride in something like a berghaus tech tee, normally pick them up for around £15 and find them far more comfortable than a couple of mtb specific jerseys (fox & endura) that cost more than twice the price

No zip, no pockets, lose fit, hard wearing, very cool, discrete and cheap as chips: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/endura-cairn-jersey-short-sleeve-t-ss16/rp-prod9343

I use the long sleeve version (prefer to have arms covered for protection) and it's my favourite. I wear it over a short sleeve compression base layer.
