After many years of abuse I have resigned myself to the fact that my old 5th Element Air is reaching the end of it's life.
Not up to date with new technology so what should I replace it with on my 1st generation SC Blur ??
Fox RP23, I've got and RP3 on my 4X and it's very nice.
Float RL I picked up cheap on here for my 4X which is a million times better than my old 5th Air. Hear good things about the RS Monarch though too so might try one of those.
Monarch gets good write-ups. Couldn't stretch to one when I was changing my Blur's shock, so went for a Manitou Swinger 3-way. It's OK and the propedal-esque switch works fine. I think Manitou bought most of the 5th element technology.
I liked my classic Blur with the Float RL shock, actually - thinking about it, I liked it more than the Spider FRO with RP23 that I replaced it with when the chainstays wore through.
