Hi, as per title. Looking to upgrade my existing X Fusion as i've had the bike 9 months now and well, why not...

I know virtually nothing about rear suspension. Currently have a X Fusion 02 RL air. Looking to buy second hand.

Any tips ? I'm not good enought to justify top of the line but something decent please

Thanks in advance

Martin

Depends a huge amount on the type if riding you do. For my first full sus I ended up with a Giant Anthem as it was an cx bike that happened to be more comfortable. Ine constantly surprised how good it is though.
I suggest you pick one manufacturer (GiAnt us a good olace to start), read up in their range, and that'll give you an idea what styles there are. From that you'll know what type your looking for and should be able to start to narrow down the rebukes a bit

What is wrong with the X-Fusion, and anything you buy s/h may need a service/parts - so probably worth factoring in £100 for that.

Hi . Norco sight killer b 3 . Couple of mates who know far more about rear suspension than I do said the shock was not bad, but quite harsh. I've upgraded other parts of the bike and now it's the rear shocks turn. 140mm travel at the mo

Well if you can set it up then cane creek double barrel in-line is what I would get they will be about £350.

I have a RS Monarch RCT3 high volume and I would only class it as ok. If it is small bump compression that you want more sensitivity with then I don't think you should bother with the Monarch RCT3.

I bought a virtually brand new Fox CTD 2nd hand and had it push tuned at TF tuning. Cost me £320 all in and now have a very good shock, custom tuned to me and my bike..

Also if you have the Sektor TK fork that might be a better place to start upgrading.
