Good afternoon oh wise and knowledgable ones.

My mate has asked for advice on a bike lock that his son can use that he can carry with him, so not too heavy, to lock his bike up while he's out and about

I never let my bikes out of my site while I'm out and use a D Lock that weighs twice as much as my bike when locking it up at home, so very un-portable

What are you lot using?

Thanks fella. That looks perfect. On offer on Wiggle at the moment too. He's just ordered one. Thanks again

I see he's already bought the regular Hiplock, but if anyone else is after a similar thing it's worth looking at the Hiplock DX too. The clips fit really well in the back pocket of a pair of Levis. The only slight drawback I've found is that my local council have some fancy cast iron bike racks that have uprights too thick to get the lock round - luckily the horizontal part is thinner.

I feel the bike is safe with my abus bordo granit x-plus 6500.

80-90 quid.

Folds up small and the bike mount is very reliable/secure.
