Have two bikes (one a 29er) that I'd like to store vertically on the wall. Also want to run a chain from a wall anchor through the frames.

Any suggestions?

Halfords

£6 each

I use them for our bikes, just set the height by the front wheel height so bike rests weight on the rear wheel and hook stops the bike falling backwards.

any good hook will do to hook the bikes front wheel onto, get one thats fairly chunky and you cant bend it with your hands and jobs a good un.

As for anchors, there are a few available but go for one made specifically for brickwork. Torq is the one I use:

Those on one hooks look the same as some I bought from eBay, I ordered 6 for future expansion. I had to modify (cut the hook back a bit) some to fit schwalbe/ maxxis 2.35" tyres in... Work a treat now though.

I use an Oxford wall anchor and was really quite pleased with it. Will certainly never be coming off the wall now. Good drill bit required, also has ball bearings for hammering into the fixings.
