around £500 on cycle to work scheme.

hardtail is what we want really, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Also do the maths - I have twice got better deal / discount by not c2w...

hi,

none of my bikes are women-specific. The only thing I find that needs to be  women specific is the saddle. I’d go for 2nd hand, you’ll get better value for money.

Same as a men's bike, and I agree with other comments that for £500 a (lightly) used bike is normally the best deal nowadays, and opens up a wider choice so that you can better target het requirements

Any foreseen requirements other than a hardtail and the specified budget?

Terrain?  Heavy or light use?  Jumps?  Climbing?

My wife had a try on a Calibre Saw on Saturday (in the shop) and really liked it over some of the Women specific bikes they had. Buying her one next week...
