Need a new pack for longer days mtbing around 18-20 litres and about £70 budget. whats good out there?

Osprey here Martin - choose your size etc. Loads of useful pockets and features, light and really well made.

Was going to say Evoc fr trail but then noticed your price limit. I have an as new I'm considering selling as I'm riding my cdf mostly

I'd second the vote for Osprey packs. I've got the 14l Raptor which is great but a bit small for your criteria. How about the 20l Syncro for less than £60 if you already have a water bladder:

I like my Decathlon bag, now called the Helium. Do them in different sizes, tapered design, 4 small pockets for organising things and a rain cover.
