As per title. Reason being i have used some rubbish ones that empty the chamber as you take it off.
BETD cheapo one- also sold as Raleigh- is good. All you need really.
The marzocchi one that came with my forks, the RS one that came with forks.
Does it empty the entire shock or just let the bit out that is in the pump?
RockShox one seems pretty good to me.
This is what you need, great little pump with a release valve to prevent pressure loss when disconnecting

I've got one of those, also a standard Fox one that came with some forks. The Topeak one has a marginally better valve contraption, the mushroom "knob" on the Fox is slightly better for frantic pumping.
The most important thing with the Topeak one is that it matches my tyre pump, multitool and tyre levers. This is of course the most important part in any tool selection. 😉
I bought a Phaart one, looks like the genuine Rockshox pump, but doesnt work as well. The pressure release button doesnt.
I bought a cheap one off ebay for about £15. You screw it tho to the valve, then screw in a pin to open the valve. Once you've pumped up your shock you unscrew the pin to close the shock valve, then unscrew from the valve. You get some air coming out under pressure, but that's the air in the pump hose.
It's the same ad one of these:-
You can see the red screw that opens and closes the valve. I thought they all worked like this?
Any of the branded Fox Rockshox ones are great.
Dont get confused by the hissing of air as you removed the pump. This is the release of the built up pressure in the rubber hose on the pump and not air releasing from the shock.
