Outside (os maps, large scale only free though)
Endomondo (but you have Strava)
ViewRanger(can upload routes to follow)
SchweizMobil (for daydreaming/browsing all those great Alpine trails)
MapsWithMe for viewing maps offline when you haven't got a signal or are abroad.
Most mapping apps have a chaching ability so you can download/cache areas when on WiFi then use without data
