Never had a problem before doing tubeless, I know all the tricks, have a ghetto coke bottle compressor etc etc etc. But last nights combination of Ardent and Roam 40 took 2hrs!. Luckily my kitchen is the same off white colour as Stans so the sealant left on the ceiling looks like it will blend in nicely !!

So without going £££ what el cheapo compressors are people using that deliver enough volume and psi to pop those troublesome beads in. Or does no such wonder product exist

I found these two on Amazon which look reasonable, but any personal recommendations would be appreciated

If either of those work I'd be delighted to know, but I suspect they won't have the volume to snap a tyre into place. All the ones I've found that are effective are around the £100 mark and running off mains rather than 12v.

I doubt they'd work. Too small. Options are

Proper compressor
Bontrager Flash Charger
Airshot
Old coke bottle

They won't push enough air to inflate tubless.

If you have JTF, they do a compressor for about £60 and inflation kit for £15. Works a treat.

+1 get a decent compressor. You won't regret it. See Axminster Tools for £100ish ones.

Airshot and Flash Charger look good, but they are more or less the price of a real compressor. Which I could paint the fence with too.

If I bought a compressor, what could I end up using it for other than blowing dust around, fitting tyres and spraying the fence?

Well mines prepped ( da sander) and sprayed a land rover chassis and body.

Die grinders are so much better than dremels

Needle gun is so much easier to clean into aukward welds before painting than a wire wheel.

Air impact gun is handy as hell for nut running and breaking out solid bolts

although a 99 quid compressor is unlikely to be able to do any of those for more than a few seconds.
