Well, not me.
McAvennie Jr turns 14 in a couple of weeks and in the rare moments that he can be torn away from his PS4 he has expressed an interest in getting a BMX. Thought I might look out for something second hand on eBay.Trouble is that my BMX knowledge ended with my Raleigh Burner I had in 1986.
Can anyone recommend some brands and models to look out for?
Decide what sort of BMX first
ie.
Street
Park
dirt
race
the first two you're going to have to choose brakes or brakeless
the last two will be rear brake only
try to find a full cromo F&F for the first 3
Race bikes will be alu (possibly carbon fork)
Next decide on budget. Same as mtbs. more cash gets you betterer/strongerer/lighterer parts
Then ask again for what brands are worth looking at
Oh.. .and his height (and predicted growth) matter too.
BMXs are still measured top tube rather than reach or S/M/L 20" is short. 22" is really long
Race bikes are longer and XL or XXL is how the longer race bikes are sized (21.5 22"ish)

Thanks for the advice and the link guys. He wants to use it on the street, park and at the local dirt jumps/pump track.
I managed to get a Kink Curb for £100 which should suit him. Reasonable condition so I'll see how he gets on with it.
My lad is nagging me for one of these..,
Apparently it’s Ryan Taylor’s brand.
