My 10 year old wants a BMX for xmas and I don't know the first thing about them.

I don't really want to spend more than £200.

Any recommendations?

Assuming you want a park type bmx, something like this would be alright.

Most are probably fairly similar at that price but don't get him a duff brand and ruin his cred. 🙂
Mongoose are ok but at the cheaper end, fitbike, stolen, do decent bikes for Lowe money but maybe not that low.

How tall is he? He may be better off on one with a sub 20" top tube and some small bars

Check out sale deals on Radbmxshop or Source bmx, or Alans BMX...If you want a decent one (with some street cred) you probably need to spend £275 - £300 minimum.....Verde, We the People, United, are all good brands....you want as much cro moly frame as possible...At the lower end you may only get the main triangle...

My 10 year old and his mates don't think Mongoose are particularly cool. WTP seems to be the thing they like...
