Hi all,
My nan has asked me for some advise on a new bike for her, she is after a lightweight road bike (her words) but i'm thinking not a super light weight racing whippet. My nan cycles a fair bit already but on a heavy cruiser which is mainly used for shopping duties which she loves but says when she wants to ride for run its very heavy on the hills.
Budget shouldn't be an issue but I know very little about road bikes, which brands offer best value? I will be going out with her on saturday to visit a few shops to get her measured and fitted so what shops are good in the Ludlow area.

i'd take a trip to shrewsbury, Dave Mellors has got a very big range of road (and MTB) bikes and a good fitting service (you could even ring and book a fitting session.
And theres Stan Jones as well good selection of high end road bikes.
Dave Pearce is a great shop but more focused on MTB and some of the nicest people in Cycling.
