Looking at giving unicycling a bash and I thought someone on STW swould have some knowledge on the subject looking at getting one to practice on then If i can hack it trying an offroad one. Any help will be appreciated thanks.

a 20inch uni is good for starting with.

If you still have questions give them a call.
Then buy one of their unicycles.
I learned on a 20", but you may find a 24 easier to ride (but probably not easier to get on to).
