With the evenings drawing in and weather getting worse thoughts are moving towards planning for  the 2019 'Epic' (in the loosest sense of the word as generally involves a group of us getting a weekend pass, covering some miles off road, with beer and curry thrown in!).  Looking for recommendations for a 2-3 day ride covering anything up to 150 miles, which is trainable from the Surrey area or within a reasonable drive. Have done the SDW a couple of times & Wessex Way.  Transcambrian looks great but logistics difficult, was thinking poss C2C Plymouth to Minehead but any suggestions from the collective...

Cheers

Did the Devon C2C this summer over 3 days with 5 mates. Loved it. No great challenge but fab and very varied scenery, plenty of pubs and cafes on the way. Got our luggage transferred each day by Luggage Transfers Ltd (imaginative) and a small coach (another company they recommended) to take us back to the start. Totally chilled. We did it north to south. There's a good website with the route including a good gpx.

What a about the Braunton 150 loop.150 miles and would make a nice 3 dayer or a tougher 2 days. You could opt to start in Minehead as that's the furthest east point.

The smoke ring (M25) route works over 2 days with easy transport and accommodation. It’s on my list for next year.

Peak 200 ( probably closer to 230) that's Km BTW.

Cairngorms Loop  http://www.bikepacking.com/routes/cairngorms-loop/  but might be a bit far.

West Country Coast to Coast  http://www.bikepacking.com/routes/westcountry-way/  Can train it back to the start.

Yorkshire Dales 300 Start and finish in Skipton, under four hours by train
