Popping up to Wales in a few weeks time for a 3 day session with a couple of mates to do some proper outdoor (non trail centre) riding. Doing a half day on Friday from Llanwrtyd Wells and a full day from Elan Village on Saturday (MBR routes).

So I'm looking for somewhere we can stay Friday and Saturday nights, ideally in Elan Village but if not then Rhayader would suit - for 3 muddy, smelly bikers and secure storage overnight.

Also want to go for a quick half day (3hr) ride on the Sunday before the long drive back to London Village.

Any suggestions on either very welcome

Ta

when i did the Lon Las Cyrmu (Hollyhead to Chepstow) we stayed in a B&B in Rhayader with secure bike storage and the owners were very understanding about bikers. I can't remebr what it was called, but it was on the main road, opposite a rather good Indian.

The Cornhill used to be a good place, may still be. Next door is Clive powell Mountainbikes (01597 811343) he will be able to recommend you loads of routes, places to stay and sell you a beer as his shop is an old pub and he still sells beer. Ask for Clive, Francine (great cakes) or Neil (great bike mechanic).
