Making the change to 11 speed shortly, always liked kmc chains in the past as I like their joining link. Seen some cracking details on shimano though but hate that joining pin method, can an sram or kmc be used to join these ? Any overall recommendations, would rather robust over super light weight... Ta

KMC X11 chains are great, especially the TiN versions.
I'm much the same, but built a 105 bike recently and the Shimano pin was easy to join in the workshop (even using a non 11 speed chain tool). Snapped the 'bullet' off with some old side cutters.
Might be worth using it and picking up a magic link as a spare/get home fix.
I'd go with a pc red 22 or pc 1130, not had any problems with either...
