Thinking of getting an Echo fixed hum with disc mount. Need someone good to build it up for me.

Also what rims and spokes would you lot recommend.

Most the riding would be in the New Forest so not that challenging but it would be me on the bike so strongish would be nice

I would guess that Rock and road are good at that.
If I was (were) still in soton I would have done it for you.

Juan's right. Jim @ Rock'n'Road is excellent.
Still got wheels going strong from his builds back in the 90s.

The best is Gary Allen by a country mile. But you have to pay the GA tax and put up with the "your doing them a favour" attitude.

For fixed, I'd wholeheartedly recommend Rod at Stonehenge Cycles. Builds the best wheels I've ridden, bar none, and he rides fixed a fair bit as well.

Well worth a trip to Salisbury!

lol @ Soma_rich - you're so right on so many counts!

my wheels built by Gary (SRAM 9.0sl, revs, XC717) are still going strong after the alps, 24hr races, all sorts and are stil perfectly true.

Keith will prob build you a good set too.

Gary Allen. No question. If you can put up with the 'customer service' and GA tax.
