Hi

My ageing endura soft shell needs replaced so I ordered a xxl mt500 one to replace it. It arrived today but the back is about 5cm shorter than my old one. Had the same issue with Fox.

So can any one recommend me a soft shell four a tall person around the 6’5 mark with a long body?

I'm 6'4" with a long (and stout) barrel chested body. My Rab Borealis is really good length wise. I struggle with softshells to be honest (endura have always been too short in body and sleeves for example). Previously had good experience with Berghaus and North Face (from Canada, not here) but they've both discontinued the models that were good.

Look at the Scandi companies. Depends on body shape - 6'4" and not fat, so Rab generally billow round the torso in XL+ sizes. ME are better for me.

Depends what size your chest is. I'm 6'3 and generally don't have a problem with sleeve length (I buy medium) if I buy from the right brands or uses. The bigger your chest, the easier it is generally. Climbing/mountaineering softshells often have longer sleeve lengths. I have non-bike specific softshells from Berghaus, Mountain Hardware, Rab and Montane, all have good sleeve lengths

Everything is too long to me. But then I'm 5ft5.
