I need a new short sleeve jersey, but my local shops have a woeful selection.

I want short sleeve lycra jersey that can be used on or off road. It should be fitted, but not skin suit tight (I have a great Campag one, so do know it is possible).

Prefer not to have tight elastic sleeves.
Some pockets on the back, simple 1/4 length zip.

Any ideas?

I'd like something less than £40, maybe in the sale at this time of year?

Have a look at 'Ground Effect' for some really comfortable hard wearing cycling gear.

The Planet-X clubman jerseys fit the bill, they're dirt cheap at the moment as well.

Planet X have got some great deals on and I find their jerseys as good as any other.
Got an email from them the other day with their Flanders jersey for £9.99

Thanks for suggestions, but I'm really picky.

The Altura Humvee does not have an elesticated hem, so ok with baggies, but not just with Lycra.

Ground effect look ok, but pricey.

Not a big fan of any of the Planet-X designs.

I've seen some Altura jerseys which look ok, but not sure about the fit...

Anything at Decathlon that fits the bill? It's always good quality stuff and often quite cheap as well.

Edit, or Prendas for a more retro vibe if that's your thing:

In winter, surely not.

Have a look at Morvelo, slightly above your budget but great jerseys.

Prendas do some nice ones. little more pricey, but some good options. Thanks.

Morvelo ones look good, but I'm really not a fan of the full length zip.

Not a fan of any of the Decathlon designs.

Appreciate it is a 50% increase but if you can stretch your budget to £60 then the Rapha trade team jersey I have is excellent quality to the point where i'd consider paying full price for one in future. Obviously limited sizes and colours available now though.

Nice jerseys, but I think they're a bit 'road only'.

Just open it a quarter of the way then
