You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I'm heading there with the family in a couple of weeks and I'm looking for a couple of half days of guiding. can anyone recommend a guide in the area?
Cheers
Rich
You could call AlpBase and ask Jerry Gore. He's in the Ecrin area so will know some MTB guides up the road there.
Watches with interest as also there in about 3 weeks (but with the road bike) so might need a hire centre as well.
Thanks james.
You could do a lot worse than starting off asking Darren. http://www.insightski.com/serrechevalier/contact.html
Top bloke. Great skier, and a dab hand on the bike too! If he doesn't do it himself, he'll know all he best people.
Which village are you going to? May have some additional contacts.
plus one for darren, knowledgeable and knows the area better than most. spent 7 winter seasons in serve chevalier and its a killer winter spot. would love to head out there in summer to ride. keep us posted on how it is.
I have sent Darren a message, I'm waiting to hear back. Thanks for the suggestion.
I'm currently in Briancon and will be riding at Serre Chevalier today. Got the trail map from there the other day, plus had a look at the top map. TBF, navigation around there looks pretty easy. We were up at Montgenerve yesterday and same deal there, tracks are well marked including the 1300m single track descent back to Briancon. Maybe you might need a guide for a day, but it is pretty easy area to navigate around
