Cae Du B+B was nice, but a bit cold and in the middle of nowhere. Betwys Y Coed is a good place to stay, means Penmachno is easily accessible, as is the Marin trail, but the Marin trail is pretty rubbish, wayyyyyyyy too much fireroad.

Google the bunkhouses in Dolgellau. There are a few none are bad and the unicorn in town does a serviceable feed and beer.

Torrent Walk behind the Little Chef at Dolgellau is spot on. Secure bike storage, wash etc. Lovely rooms (or camping), & great breakfast. My mate runs a B&B on the front in Barmouth, that's not far away. If your there, you'd be mad not to do the Mach X at Machynleth, about 30 mins from Dolgellau. If you want the best in Wales, IMO, head to Nant y Arian.

Disclaimer: Welsh spelling above obviously. Sorry.

We stayed at one of logcabinwales's cabins. It was quite nice. We went out of season so the place was empty, and stayed in one on the edge of the holiday park so it was really nice. I can imagine it would feel a bit different at peak times. Good spacious living space and room for the bikes, tiny bedroom.

Not sure about availability but google some log cabins in brithdir, located about 10 mins from cyb. The one we stayed in had a log burner, sauna and an outside hot tub. Think it was called milk wood, but there was a choice of 2 or 3 different cabins
