The opening for end of the fork shafts is deeply recessed half way up the inside of the lowers.

Will some tubing on the end of a syringe fit through the holes for putting the fork oil back in?

Or is there another method?

Yep works fine. To be honest I tend to hold the lowers in a work stand at an angle and pour the oil in from the top as it’s one less thing to root around to find.

If it’s your first go don’t forget you’ll need a long reach socket for the bottom bolt.

Yeah, or just a long enough syringe. The ones that come with kids' medicine are fine for this.

I use fishtank air tubing on end of syringe.

I always just pour it in from the top

This. Cheap as chips from most pet shops. Can use it for brake bleeding as well.
