Morning.
Did my first lower leg service on weekend. The forks are Reba RL 140mm (2018 I guess).
I bought all the oil/grease/32mm foam rings before hand. All went well, apart from the foam rings are too high.
The ones I bought as replacement from TFT look about 10mm high, the ones that came out look about 4 or 5mm.
The wiper seals are fine for now, so just want to get away with swapping the (very) dirty old foam rings.
Anyone know where I can buy 32mm x 4mm foam rings alone?
Thanks.
are the foam rings damaged? if not, give them a clean in solvent cleaner and then re-lube them with either the fork oil or the right stuff which RS recommend and pop the old ones back in. I remember that the RS manual says they are re-usable if they are not damaged.
I did try, but they're still really dirty! Rather just bin 'em and get some fresh ones in there.
Are they the thin yellow ones? You can normally get a bagful off ebay for not much.
Those are the type that used to go into my Rebas, may not work for you.
