I neglected to remember, that about 3 years ago, I bought a new set of 100mm travel 29'er Reba's from somewhere. They must have been going cheap...and thought they would be handy...
...I now quite fancy popping them onto a bike for my daughter.
However, they are currently 100mm and I would like them to 120mm to suit the frame.
They are solo air and I know the air-shaft part number required and plenty available from online retailers. 11.4018.021.000.
How big a job is it to change the air-shaft?
Thanks.
Easy to change , but not all reba's will go the full 120mm. I changed the airshaft for a 120mm one in my forks and the it appears something in the damping side wasn't long enough it was topping out.
Cut about 5mm off the airshaft and all was fine
About 5 years ago and 10,000 miles and I haven't died yet
