Good morning all.

Does anyone know what part numbers required for:

Replacement air-spring to take from existing 100 to 120mm travel?

What is required to take away the remote lock-out and replace with crown-top?

Thanks in advance.

spookily, I'm trying to swap a Reba 29r form 120mm or 100mm. Seems a bit of a minefield, and the local guy is a bit puzzled. The two LBSs I emailed to ask about what would be needed and if they wanted to take it one have not even bothered to reply at all.

air spring would be https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/273502646661, Product no.: R8021000A in most places, but also out of stock in most places too.

firstly though, check if your stanchion has the 80/100/120 markings as some of them only had 80/100. if it doesn't have 120mm on it, then it's not designed for 120mm travel.

for the damper. you'll need to remove the compression damper from the fork, then use a small screwdriver to unhook the spring that's wrapped around the central damper shaft. it's hooked on near the top of the damper, should be easy enough to see, but a bit fiddly to unhook. Once done the lockout will no longer self return. it's up to you then to either buy a manual lockout lever and replace the remote version, think they're about £25 or so. Or just use the remote topcap, chances are you'll be able to grip it OK.

you could remove the return spring all together by taking the compression damper apart, but there's really no need unless it's really stiff to operate the lockout.
