Never thought I'd be asking about tyres, but in my defence its not for me. Honest

I've got a 2.3 Purgatory on my 26" Heckler and a mate wants to try one, but he's on a Boardman 650b FS Pro and I have no idea on the tyre width V frame clearance.

So my question is - Has anyone got 2.3 Purg fitted to the rear of a 650b Boardman Pro Full Susser and what's the clearance like??

Tia

I would have thought it would be ok X King 2.2 is ~55mm

the 26 version had poor tyre clearance and struggled with anything above 2.2. unless they have substantally redesigned the rear end then he may struggle

He's got his wife out in the garage with a tape measure as we speak 🙂

The bike has got 2.25 Nobby Nics on atm if that helps

If it helps, On-One Smogs at 2.25 are around the same size as 2.25 Nobbys (maybe every so slightly bigger) and are great.

Been a couple if weeks now but for future reference (iyi) the Spesh Purgatory fits. It's a bit snug on one of the chain stays with bags of room on the other, but he's had no issues yet.

Once the mud starts clogging things up it might be a different story
