You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
This has been nagging me for a while, recently got back from Spain where I had the opportunity to take a day off to go riding in the Sierra Nevada area
Had a rental Spesh Enduro, didn't really look to see the set up on the rear .. strangely enough on the climbs I didn't feel that much bob. However there were a couple of slow technical occasions where I felt I was being 'bucked' I am quite sure I had my weight planted firmly through the COG..
I've ridden in Whistler on a Giant Glory but didn't experience this
1) is the linkage system
2) soft set up
3) technique
anyone have any thoughts
bucked - rebound too fast
not enough rebound surely
thanks guys
Pedal feedback? What's the chain growth like on an Enduro?
not enough rebound surely
or
bucked - rebound too fast
Now I'm confused, can see reasons for both but I would have gone with rebound too fast.
^ as above. Would have initially thought too fast.
same thing seavers - not enough rebound (damping) means that rebound is too fast
Well that makes more sense now.
Thank you.
My head hurts. It's been a long day! So rebound is too fast if you don't dial in enough rebound dampening?
Yes, less rebound damping = fast
More rebound damping = slower
Got it.
Not enough rebound damping will do that. The spring element of the shock is rebounding too quickly giving you a bucking sensation. More rebound damping slows down how fast the shock can extend to it's original length.

That is how I understood it.
But
Threw me off and hence brain freeze.plyphon - Member not enough rebound surely
I see now he means dampening
I'm better off just reading the cute beaver thread! 😕
