Hi All,

I have serviced my Fox rear shock and it has started to top out. There is a destinct thud at the top of the stroke which then seems to disappear after five or so bounces. I have adjusted the respond to no avail.

Any ideas?

Doesn't sound too healthy.

On a functioning Fox shock with it held in your hand, if you set the rebound damping to maximum, and compress the shock right down, it should extend very slowly. Does yours do this ?

What type of service did you carry out, and was the rebound damping working before ?

Sounds like you have leak inside the damper, gas in the oil causing the topping out.

Full service time I'm afraid.

DJ,

I'll take it off and give that a go. I did the simple service: drop the air, open it up, clean inside and replace the fluid, reassemble.

Cheers for the advice
