I have a new SC 5010 V3 which came fitted with a Fox DPX2. I have set the sag, the rebound is set some where near right. The LSC I have fully open at the moment and the 3 position lever to open. On the whole it feels ok but as I'm descending the rear end feels like every hit is slowing the bike up. Yesterday whilst descending several trails I'm familiar with the bike seemed to fail to accelerate through the trail which on my other bikes they do. Every root or small hit seem to take the speed out of the bike this makes me have to pedal to maintain any momentum. Any ideas on how to dial this out would be appreciated just to save lots off fettling and completely confusing the situation.
I'm not sure the situation is with volume spacers but will check today, I don't think that will have much bearing on the problem.
I have a DPX2 on my transition sentinel, I had it all set up correct according to transition and fox recommended settings but it felt awful. Not quite the same , but it was too slow to respond to repeated hits so I wound out the rebound to make it more responsive and it feels amazing now.
I used a shockwhizz to test it and it said that it is working as it should be now.
I have not messed about with the volume spacers.
@beefy
Thanks for the info. I’ll try speeding the rebound up a little.
Shock wiz is useful, hiring I e for a day and working thru you're setup systematically (and recording it all) is w worthwhile expenditure
Increasing rebound should help
I have a dpx2 on my process 153 and I wasnt happy with fox's setting
But with lsc fully open you're right at the end of the range, I have mine 3 clicks from open and it's a sweet spot for me a couple of clicks either side of that and it's awful
If you're near Berks I have a Shockwiz here you can test.
Thanks for the replies guys
Weeksy , thanks for the offer . If i was closer to you I would have accepted your offer.
So I have had a little play. I reset the sag, being meticulous about cycling the shock every 20 psi when adding air. I have adjusted the rebound so it's a little faster and went out and rode this afternoon. The ride was more gravity focussed and the rear end was 100% better to the point that I might just play with the LSC next time out.
Thanks again.
