Have had My '13 Giant Reign 2 for two years and done frame bearings,BB etc but haven't done my rear shock mounting Hardware, bushings.I recently bought Offset bushings for my Kona Entourage and when I was doing the bearing on the Reign I was wondering if I would be able to put a set in my Reign too,the mounting kit is obviously different but I'm wondering if the mounting is something that for certain bikes it just doesn't allow offset bushings etc.
Hopefully I'm not asking a nonsensical question

Cheers

Are you asking if you can put 1 offset bushing in the top of the shock.
If so then the answer is yes you can. 😀

You don't need to run a pair. You can just run one on it's own. As Rob says - you can't run a lower one on Giant frames due to the Maestro pivot.

People run a pair to get the max adjustment possible when their frame allows.

Your Reign will be using a 6mm bolt though, so you can get more offset than with a normal 8mm offset bushing. You'd be looking at around 0.75 degrees adjustment on average. They're very popular for the Reign / Trance / Anthem actually. You can get them from Offsetbushings.com

Hope that helps,

Jeron

You don't need to change the DU.When you order the offset with 6mm hole and the right width.just state which shock it is for.Fox,RS,CC,etc.Job done. 😉
I think i might have one you can have for postage.Off out now but will look for you later bud.

Bushing you probably want 1/2 inch bushings (its shock dependent). Personally I prefer polymer to DU but you can run either.

So,if im reading this right,i can use the same Eyelet bushings as the ones i bought for my Fox VanR??im sure they were small silver 1/2 bushings,And then order 1 offset bushing for the top which can be more than the usual offset due to not being 8mm bolt hole but 6 mm.

We sell polymer DU bushes in 1/2" for just £2 🙂 they'll ship with any bushings you order.

Hope that helps,

Jeron
