+1 for [url= https://www.themudhugger.co.uk ]Mudhugger[/url]. I've been using all winter and it has helped massively. Follow the instruction for fitting so you don't damage your frame. I wrapped some old inner tube round the frame to prevent any damage.

Topeak defender xc11 has been keeping my back dry this winter- the 29er size is massive and therefore effective. Clamp is pretty solid and the quick release is reasonably handy. Only weakness I've found so far is that the bolts holding the guard itself on need nipping up every few hundred miles or so, less if you've done lots of really aggressive stuff. Think that's mainly a function of the sheer length of the thing though
